Visioning the Rail Corridor – Rail Ideas 2

Engagement with civic societies and government agencies.
This studio pursues the same topic as semester one. More masterplan ideas were created and entered into the “Journey of Possibilities” Ideas for the Rail Corridor Competition held by URA. Two sites were explored in depth through the vehicles of a Backpacker’s Lodge at the Jurong branch line and a housing project at Hindhehe. Both projects explore concepts and typologies of integrated developments that combine urbanity with nature, while preserving a seamless connectivity of the rail corridor. Feedback was obtained from Nature Society, Green Corridor, URA and NParks.
