Re-imagining Tampines- Liveability Blueprint

15 Year 4 students. 40 Year 3 students in workshop
Collaborators: In collaboration with Danish Gehl Architects, Centre for Liveable Cities, government agencies (URA, HDB, NParks, LTA), MPs, and grassroots. There were 3 workshops conducted. The project is to study a mature public housing estate and how to revitalise it. Students proposed a masterplan that is bike and pedestrian friendly. With connectivity of public/social spaces, green spaces, bike paths, developing unused spaces into social/recreational spaces. Students benefited from interaction with these parties. They produced a Liveability Blueprint that was presented to Ministers Heng Swee Keat, MPs Mah Bow Tan, Baey Yam Keng, Irene Ng, grassroots leaders, CEOs & staff of agencies.
