This studio used a participatory approach to engage end users adopting techniques such as survey, workshops and social media. Students identified locations across campus and proposed a masterplan. They then developed designs for selected locations. The results were presented to UCI and were well received. Two of the design ideas for SDE are being developed for implementation, endorsed by UCI. Studio works were presented to Geraldine LEE (Director) Community Engagement and Development, University Campus Infrastructure, Office of the Vice President (Campus Infrastructure); Roy Tan (Associate Director), Ashley Wong, Office of the Vice President (Campus Infrastructure) and staff of Office & Estate Development.
